Fifty household-name brands, ranked by how well they serve their customers' AI agents.
We tested 50 household-name brands the way a customer's AI agent meets them: it researches the brand, reads its site and asks its support for help. More than 600 tests in all. Each brand gets a score from 0 to 100 on four pillars, and the AX score is their weighted average. Service and Authority carry the most weight, because they decide whether the customer gets an answer. The coloured core in each block shows the mix: one layer per pillar, sized by its share.
Personal AI agents, each acting for a real person, asked each brand's support for everyday help: cancel, get a refund, change a plan. Each conversation scores 0 if the agent could not ask without logging in, 25 if no reply came within 24 hours, 50 for an identity check or no useful answer, 75 for a partial answer and 100 for the steps, cost and timeframe.
We gave an AI agent three common customer jobs for each brand, such as getting a credit for an outage, and recorded every page it read: 300 research tasks, 1,523 searches and 4,286 pages over two runs. The score is the share of those pages that came from the brand's own site.
Two tests, each worth half. Can an automated browser agent load the homepage? Is a request that identifies itself as ChatGPT's agent let in?
The agent-readiness score from the is-agentic scanner, which checks for machine-readable pages, structured data and agent instructions such as llms.txt. Sites were scanned in two runs.
Agents worked logged out and never shared account details, as a new customer's agent would, so a login wall counts against a brand. Scores can move a few points between runs, so treat small gaps as ties. Where a test could not run, the brand is scored on the remaining pillars, and its card says so.
Brands were chosen for how widely they are used, and Lorikeet customers are excluded. Data collected 8 to 12 October 2026.
